Dumplings with Lamb Stew Meal

 Preparation Of Lamb Stew With Dumplings

Today we are preparing tasty lamb with dumplings that you could try anytime at home. This meal is loved mostly by the black people.


Method

Heat oil in a large, heavy sourcepan and fry meat until golden brown then add onions for few minutes until soft and golden. 

Add tomatoes, stock, herbs and seasoning and simmer for about 30 minutes.

Dumplings: Sift flour and salt together rub in butter with fingertips until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add herbs and enough milk to mix to a soft dough. Drop  dough into hot stew as round balls until it's boiled up enough. 




Ingredients

30ml olive or cooking oil

750g lamb cut into 2cm cubes

250g about 18 pickling onions or 1 large onion coarsely chopped

4g medium tomatoes skinned and chopped

1 pinch salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
